Review
This is a fine side-on platform shoot em up. The storyline revolves
around the usual "evil machine takes over planet", and you are sent in an
armoured assault suit to liberate the world. The graphics are pleasant
enough, and, while the game is no OnEscapee it looks reasonable enough.
Sound is OK, the standard explosions and gunfire. Two disks of solid
gameplay then?
Your character starts the game with a weedy gun, which you can then
upgrade, and a grappling hook, which allows you to swing over gaps and so
on. As you progress through the game, the situations and enemies change,
giving plenty of variety. All of the levels are simply "find your way to
the exit" so don`t expect any complex puzzle-solving. Gameplay wise, the
game is pretty good, with perfect collision detection, and responsive
controls. The game also has a nice line in bosses, with some pretty over
the top machines to destroy. Complaints are limited to difficulty - some
levels are very nearly impossible to do without dying, and lastability -
once you have done said levels, you will never want to play the game
again.
As an overall score, I would say that 70% sounds about right
